Introduction
The world is now different as we know it. There exists a class of humans with special abilities --- the ACCELS who can bend the forces of nature and the arcane to their will. The ALTERS, once normal humans, forcefully evolved and possessing abilities but for a price -- their life. And the still seemingly ordinary yet intellectually and skillfully advance than normal called the VERIFIERS.
The first instance of accelerators has been kept secret, the government providing various cover-ups to hide signs of their existence. It soon became apparent that there are more accelerating in every turn of a generation, increasing by a handful or more that it soon became a large-scale task to be kept hidden.
A specialized institution was constructed on an island away from civilization where the only means of transport was by air or by boat. Every arrival and departure was closely monitored by island security. Every new face instantly recorded in the Administration. The slightest sign of disturbance from outsiders and its source was quickly dealt with.
The Human Advancement and Development in Excellence Studies, H.A.D.E.S. for short, established all accelerators in government files. The government present it as an academy to hide accelerators from public exposure and media while teaching them to control their abilities and improve their skills. The physical combat classes specialize in stealth, offense and defense, and undetected movement. Technology courses center around hacking and hardware corruption. And those graduated from the academy always seem to end up in positions close to powers.
Like most schools, rivalry in HADES is strong and secretly incited. Accels, Alters and Verifiers are often pitted against each other rather than have them train together. This school-sanctioned practice is one of the reasons why relationships between the three classes have worsened over the years. They barely tolerate the classes not their own --- the Accels discriminate the Alters, the Alters undermine the Verifiers, the Verifiers underrate the Accels, and so on and so forth.
Any attempts to improve the relationship between Accels, Alters and Verifiers have been mysteriously silenced. Any partnership among the three classes has to be approved by the administration first and is always a temporary one. Students are sometimes sent out on missions. Sometimes they'd come back and sometimes they don't.
A sinister atmosphere has descended upon HADES and suspicious machinations by organizations with mysterious agendas are at work. Will the students and operatives of HADES fall prey to the tangled web of corruption and greed? Or will they defy the puppeteers and forge their own fate?
Those who have been in DIE might recognize some of the paragraphs here, borrowed from DIE creator... they're somewhat changed a bit to fit this RP.
