At first glance, no one would ever guess that Azrael or. Dr. Az as his students affectionately call him is a teacher. He possesses the demeanor of a low-class pub musician and the temperament of a lawyer. His manner of clothing ranges from formal to casual, often with a buttoned shirt, vest and tie with or without the blazer. No other accessories except a leather strapped watch and a gold wedding ring. He has a vertical scar on his stomach from the middle section to the navel.. Body type is lean, slightly muscular. Tanned complexion.

Personality:

Lax and calm are the words that would best describe Azrael. None of his students or colleagues had seen him panic over anything nor get surprised by anything. He seems to be always at the ready the only person who stays calm in the middle of chaos. He never laughs at corny jokes even if everyone else is laughing their ass off, but finds morbid and sarcastic jokes amusing. Laid back but strict in class. Azrael's way of teaching is unorthodox and unheard of in the Education circle but he's the only teacher in history whose students always get full marks every exam.

He has the habit of cursing in 15 languages when aggravated, angry or stressed.

History:

Once a street urchin that was adopted by a British tourist he saved from being conned. He took up Language major in Latin and had other countless majors (mainly languages of the world) in the said course. Was considered to be a language genius owing to his audio-psychic. Graduated at the age of 16 with both masters and doctorate degrees from Harvard. Shortly after college he had a brief experience in working as an interpreter with U.N. where his adoptive father was an ambassador.

His employment in HADES had been an accident. It was the time when Wood attended a party hosted by the European government. He and Denise were present and both had trouble communicating with the guests. Wood was in a precarious situation where the translator of the Persian ambassador misinterpreted Wood's message. The result was almost disastrous, the ambassador suddenly ranted in Farsi and threatened Wood, who of course didn't have a clue on what was going on, merely smiled. Azrael happen to pass by and straightened things out. He caught Wood's interest. When the HADES headmaster noticed he was adept  with conversing with everyone in the room without the help of a translator, even his accents were accurate no matter what language he spoke.

HADES at that time lacked staff and it was barely a year after Wood took the position as the head of the administration. Wood offered him a job right there and then. Azrael accepted it gladly and was hired on the spot. He was the youngest teacher at that time. He married at the age of 19. Owns "Café Leife" outside HADES.
