The Kizashi Chronicles
A Bizarre Beginning
(An Accel Rush Side Story)
Kizashi stood before the gates of H.A.D.E.S. Literally. H.A.D.E.S is not hel thuoghl, it is an acronym for Human Advancement Development and Excellence Studies {is this right admin?}. Also contrary to popular belief H.A.D.E.S. is not freaking hot with fiery flames that eternally burn sinners but is an institution for the “abnormally gifted” or in normal words “people with supernatural or superhuman abilities”. These “abnormally gifted” human beings were all gathered here in H.A.D.E.S either by hook or by crook. Seriously. Some were asked nicely, some were misled and others well, lets just leave that aside for the admin to explain since its kind of unnerving to define, sorry. All of these students are trained to control their powers and are kept hidden from the outside world and its “normal humans” by the government in fear that people might start spreading some weird ideas or in classy terms “global conspiracy” concerning where their taxes go.
Going back to our protagonist, Kizashi is still in front of the gate, waiting for the narrator’s cue while thinking deeply that after all these days of searching he as at last found H.A.D.E.S. This place holds the clue to his parent’s unknown past and a key to his true identity. After a few blank moments Kizashi stepped inside.
People seem to direct their gaze to the ominous shadow that is entering. As Kizashi came into full view some gasped, some were shocked, others laugh and even a few others did not care at what they saw. Nearly all of them are looking at this brown-haired boy with very pale complexion with his sickly body sweating heavily. Kizashi himself did not care. It was either from the heavy luggage he was carrying or the fact that he was wearing a purple turtleneck sweater matched with denim pants and black biker boots with silver buckles on the outer side, all under a sleek, black trench coat that seemed to hug every inch of his thin, frail body. What also added to his strangeness are the square glasses above his head. He was using them as a girly headband or it’s what you call a “pussy cat”. As bizarre as Kizashi’s get up is a black butterfly rested above his head perched on the middle of his glasses.
Oblivious to his surroundings Kizashi walked around searching any sign that said “Headmaster’s Office” or anything connected to it. Everywhere he went people seem to avoid and avert their gaze from this weirdo in fear of getting infected of his weirdness. Kizashi did not mind.
All was going well for our main character but alas every protagonist needs a few antagonists or a conflict lest they break the unwritten rule for story writing. And so the narrator decided to insert three stupid senior bullies just for fun.
It was a perfect day for these three bullies as they saw Kizashi walking absent-mindedly along the corridor and decided to greet him with a grand “Welcome to H.A.D.E.S. newbie” bashing. They approached him and block Kizashi hoping to make him stop while cowering in fear. Kizashi continued walking ignoring the three in front of him and is on a direct collision to the bullies. The bullies waited in anticipation, grinning to themselves that they have finally found an idiot to play with. Kizashi drew nearer. The seniors braced for impact. It came. But there is one big problem. As soon as our main character was only a breath away from the bullies, Kizashi deployed a hemispherical layer of purple hued force or scientifically called “Force field” around him and expanded it outward with a speed of a hundred miles per hour, hitting the seniors in the process and then it disappeared. It all happened in a split second and is rarely noticeable for an untrained or normal human eye. All the bullies remembered were the sudden color change of Kizashi’s pupils from black to purple. Then all went black for them. Kizashi noticed the change in his eyes and quickly wore his glasses correctly making the butterfly perched on it to transfer onto his head. The color change was due to Kizashi using his power. Wearing the glasses allows Kizashi to hide the color change in case people might think he’s into some new drug or the like. Kizashi continued his walking and felt stepping something soft. Actually it was the bodies of the three bullies. In every step Kizashi make he can hear a hoarse groan. Literally. Too bad Kizashi is insensible to his surroundings.
Kizashi stopped in midway while walking and said, “I do not do older persons especially when it is three on one.”
He continued his search. A few hours later he saw the headmaster’s office. He knocked softly then entered. The headmaster was a man in his late forties and was busy working on some papers. He did not notice the boy in front of him. Kizashi cleared his throat. The headmaster turned his attention to the kid. He looked up and down surveying the boy’s attire. A few minutes later the headmaster laughed. Kizashi thought of the headmaster as a senile old geezer because of his reaction.
He tried to ask him politely. “Um. . . Excuse me sir,”
The headmaster did not respond but continued to laugh at Kizashi’s appearance. Our protagonist may have lost his cool when suddenly he shouted, “Old geezer are you the headmaster!” It was clearly a simple shout due to irritation but none the less a shout. The headmaster stopped laughing thinking that he may have hurt this kid’s feelings.
He nodded and waited for Kizashi to speak.
Kizashi slammed his hand on the headmaster’s s table.
“Old man I want to be enrolled in this school and I need you to give one of the best rooms in your dorm and I want all of it right now.”
The order was so forceful and sudden that the headmaster was half insulted and half amused. Too bad for Kizashi the old geezer did not like being ordered that the headmaster aimed a punch for Kizashi’s face. The punch connected. Kizashi fell unconscious. The old man started to sweat. It was not that hard a punch he reassured himself but still he was in a panic. He called for the doctor.
Kizashi woke up, felt his face sore and started to think why the hell did he even let the punch hit. He remembered that it was the best move lest he break the old man’s pride.
“You’re papers are all here, all you need is to sign them.”
The voice came from behind him. Kizashi suddenly realized he was in a very cozy room and behind him was the headmaster.
“And here are the keys to the room.” He handed the keys and the papers to Kizashi. He signed them and the headmaster took it the papers and opened the door to get out. But before leaving he left some words.
“The next time I see you around you’d better be showing some respect kid or . . .”
The old man did not finish words, hoping that the hanging ending of his speech would be enough to threaten Kizashi. Kizashi was not listening nor cared for what the old geezer was blabbering about. The old man soon left.
A few black butterflies entered through the open window and gathered around Kizashi. Right now Kizashi’s eye color was once again changing. The once black iris became purple and the whites of his eyes turned black. He started emanating a dangerously dark aura as his eyes began to sparkle with malice.
“H.A.D.E.S huh? It’s not so bad at all,” he said to himself while toying with the butterflies.
And that was the start of a series of bizarre phenomenon in the life of our protagonist in this place called H.A.D.E.S. What bizarre happenings might happen next?
See you on the next installment.
“Bye.”
