Winter's Kiss

It's winter in H.A.D.E.S and a certain young man couldn't get outside due to his fear of being drenched. He watched the fun outside through the crystal clear view from his window. He envied all the children happily playing for he could never experience the same thing and even more so because Louise was outside...........

and Feli too of course.
As he turned towards the cold and darkness inside his room, his action caught the attention of a certain young girl by the name of Louise von Draisse. She felt his loneliness and despair coursing through her. She decided to give him an early Christmas gift. She took a small cooler and made as many snowballs as she could with the help of Felicienne. A small smile started to form on her face, with the idea of what she was about to do. Feli is curious as to why Louise is smiling stupidly. She had never seen her in this state but nevertheless she helped her.

They finished an hour before twilight and made their way towards the boy's dormitory. Louise just can't stop giggling while Feli was confused with the actions of her friend. Questions started to bounce in her mind but the only person that could answer it, was smiling stupidly beside her. They arrived at a familiar door. Louise knocked, waiting for the young lad to open his door for them. As the door was opened she saw the familiar stare with those gray eyes that she loved the most.

“Please explain to me exactly what are you doing here?” Zephyr announced. Louise simply smiled and threw a snowball straight at his frowning face. Zephyr wiped the mess on his face and glared at her.
“What the hell was that for?!” He all but shouted. Louise just giggled and threw another snowball at him while Feli laughed out loud at his predicament. Zephyr fuming with anger and embarrassment picked up a snowball and threw it at the giggling Louise. Louise wiped the snow off her face and gave the smirking Zephyr a deathly glare.
“What? You started it!” He cried, feeling defensive.  "Oh, yeah?" Louise replied. She picked a snowball, as well as Zephyr. They shouted at the same time "Let the snowball fight begin". Snowballs were flying all over the place as well as the echoes of their laughter.

With the help of Louise, Zephyr forgot his fear and his heart started to jump whenever he saw her smile, a feeling he never knew existed. Seeing her face just lights up he's day and whenever his with her he never feels lonely. He can't stop smiling due to the feeling that Louise had made him feel.

Dusk had descended upon them, the stars twinkling in delight, but they never seemed to notice. They were too fascinated with the happiness visible in their eyes, lost in their own little world. A world where there's no such thing as forbidden, a world where he and Louise could be free. At that moment, Zephyr's world have turned upside down. Everything seemed possible with her beside him, as though he can do anything.

Louise noticed that it was already dark and said "Oh...I think its time for us to go." Zephyr felt as though his heart dropped towards his feet. Inside his mind he said Please don`t go  but out loud he just said without any emotions present on his face, "Is it alright for you to go? Look, Feli is already fast asleep and I think it would be a crime for us to wake her up". Louise felt dumbfounded, Zephyr graciously suggested that they sleep in his room. Zephyr picked Feli up from where she had fallen asleep on the sofa and placed her on his bed. Louise, always fascinated with everything that he does, gave a little smile. Louise said " She seems like a little angel when she`s asleep" and Zephyr continued "But she`s like a human hurricane when she wakes up." Louise chuckled but was cut short when Zephyr pushed her towards the bed. Louise was speechless at his actions, her heart felt as though it would jump right out of her chest. She looked at those very lovable eyes and saw a glint there that she never saw before. His face came closer and closer, and Louise felt as though she would die from anticipation. A blush coated her pale face while staring at his gray eyes, that caused him to smile sweetly at her. As he came even closer, she closed her eyes trying to shy away from him. He smirked at her sudden withdrawal. He came closer and breathed in her ear which caused her to shiver involuntarily. He then muttered in a husky voice, "You can sleep on the bed tonight, I`ll take the couch.". As he turned away from her, she heaved a sigh. Half of relief and half of disappointment. He laid on the couch and Louise focused her eyes on the roaring flames of the fireplace.

A half hour passed and Zephyr stood up from his place on the couch and checked on them. He found Louise fast asleep. The moonlight hit her directly on the face and in Zephyr's eyes she looked absolutely perfect. He couldn't help but smile and tuck a stray strand of hair from her face. As he looked at her, sleeping peacefully, the urge to kiss her was so irresistible, but he couldn't do that. He just settled for kissing her on the forehead and whispered "Thanks for today", before heading back to sleep. He never saw the small smile plastered on Louise's face and never heard her mutter "Zephyr".
